ZVEX DB-1

This is our first ultra-high input impedance meter for use with electric guitar. The meter is designed to remain completely invisible in your signal chain. The way this works is that the sensing circuit in the meter has a feather-light touch on the signal, using a 10 million ohm resistor in series with an extremely sensitive field effect transistor. The input impedance of this instrument is higher than most scientific apparatus available to the public. I'm personally unsure if anyone has ever previously offered an analog meter for use with guitar, but I'm certain nobody has ever offered one so sensitive and invisible. The meter has one control, a range knob that sets where the needle swings to allow the user to adjust it for their particular rig. The labels on the meter indicate an increasing level of happiness until the user reaches 11, which we all know from Spinal Tap is the highest any guitar can go safely. Your meter may swing higher than 11. Allow this at your own risk. Warning: Power this unit with 9 volts ONLY.
